**Job Title: Pressing Machine Operator** **Job Description** The pressing machine operator will work in the Production/Pressing Department. At this location, bricks are made by robots and press machines. Operators are responsible for loading and unloading molds into the machines and entering data for the correct brick into the computer system. Each day, operators receive a 'mix sheet' detailing what they will produce during the shift. This is a fast-paced job, working in teams of 3-4 people covering 2 press machines. **Responsibilities** + Use a forklift to load or unload molds and perform changeovers. + Enter information into the computer system. + Move carts once they are full of bricks and stack them on pallets. + Troubleshoot the machine for basic issues before calling maintenance (requires mechanical knowledge and basic math skills). + Each shift ends with a 1-hour clean-up of the station, which can be dirty. **Essential Skills** + Forklift operation + Production and manufacturing environment experience + Machine operation + Hand tool usage + Inspection and troubleshooting skills + Basic math skills + Ability to navigate a computer and perform basic functions + Strong safety awareness **Why Work Here?** We offer excellent hourly pay with the potential to make $30/hr+ fairly quickly through skills tests and raises. We also provide reimbursements for boots after hiring, and a structured pay increase system based on performance and skill acquisition. **Work Environment** Operators will work on a rotating 12-week cycle schedule with shifts available as follows: 1st shift: 7A-3P M-F or 7A-7P weekends, 2nd shift: 3P-11P M-F or 7A-7P or 7P-7A weekends, 3rd shift: 11P-7A M-F or 7P-7A weekends. The schedule is set for the whole year. The dress code is long pants and a t-shirt; uniforms are provided but employees can wear their own attire. Certain areas of the building can reach up to 110 degrees in the summer, and some areas may be dirtier than others. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.56 - $24.56/hr.
