Collins Aerospace in Spokane is hiring for a Machine Operator I in our Machine Shop. You will learn and be responsible for the set-up, calibration and operation of machines used in the production process. Training provided on the job. Shift: Our Operators love our 4 days on - 4 days off schedule, 6:00am - 6:00pm, rotating between day/night shift every 6 weeks.

+$2.25/hr shift differential paid on both days and night shifts.

The salary range for this role is $36,899.20 to $49,920 with an additional 16 hours/month in average of built-in overtime; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.

What YOU will do: Training Provided

Training provided to setup CNC machines and run parts.

Weekly Preventative Maintenance processes. 

Follow applicable instructions (WI, SOP, Reference documents).

Precision gauging required utilizing various tools including CMM, verifying gauge calibration (micrometers, calipers, drills, inserts, etc.).

Ability to identify and document out-of-spec conditions.

Daily machine inspections, calibration verification.

First Piece Inspection procedure, tools, inserts and their functions.

Experience with G&M codes, Macro programming and editing process a plus.

Adhere to all safety policies (Collins Aerospace Cardinal Rules)

5S/continuous improvement processes (ACE).  

Observe and follow all environmental, health and safety procedures.  

Comply with all company policies and procedures. 

Complete all training as assigned and in the allotted time.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Adhere to all engineering instruction, standard operation procedures, and all departmental procedures.

You will part of a team-oriented atmosphere and interact with other functional groups (e.g., engineering) on technical matters.You will have the gain the knowledge of all pertinent customer and company specifications including but not limited to international standards relating to production of carbon-carbon brake components & company policies.

Required Qualifications you must have - Education & Experience:

HS Diploma or GED certification. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.

Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.

Must have the ability to work 4 days on/4 days off – 12-hour shifts, rotating days to nights every 6 weeks.

You will have the ability to recognize problems with any process equipment & notify chain of command when tolerance limits are approached to avoid making defective parts.

You will have the ability to read drawings and operate per manufacturing procedures.   

Skills we value:

Previous machine shop, production or manufacturing experience

G&M codes, Macro programming and editing process a plus.

Intermediate computer skills required

The ability to read manufacturing prints and applicable GD&T
