As a tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry, our client provides multiple facets of production support. We work in a fast-paced environment to support daily operations. One of the areas we operate, and support is the pre-treat and electro-static dip lines.
What Matter Most:$19.50/hr12 hour shift: 6:00pm- 6:30amLocation: West Point, GA
Your New Role:Checks chemical concentrations of each dip tank using titration methods. Checks pH of each dip tank. Works safely in a lab and use testing equipment such as burettes, pipettes, pH meter, conductivity meter, and additional lab equipment.Changes filters as described in SWIs.Monitors the system levels ensuring proper production levels, adding chemicals as needed.Monitors water usage throughout the shift.Troubleshoots the system and make changes as needed to improve quality.Operates and maintains sludge press for phosphate application.Cleans metal debris from magnets inside the pretreat line as needed.Works with chemicals such as acids, bases, degreasers, paint pigment, resin, biocides, and other chemicals as needed.Operates a forklift in accordance to OSHA and DOT guidelines.Cleans and maintains area in accordance with 5S standards.
What You Need:       High school diploma or equivalent experience; Associate degree preferred.Good verbal and written communication skills.   Good customer service skills.     Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. At times able to work independently and be a self-starter.     Proven ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Must be mechanically inclined.Must be detail-oriented including the ability to work with minimal supervision with great time management skills.Experience driving a forklift.Ability to have a flexible schedule, including working weekends.Your New Organization: Enjoy competitive compensation, health, vision, and dental insurance plans, and a 401(k) plan.
