**Job Title:** Machine Operator III **Pay:** $21.47 per hour **Shift Hours:** + **First Month:** 1st Shift, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM + **After First Month:** 2nd Shift, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, with overtime until 12:30 AM **Interviews Required.** **Steel Toe Shoes Required.** **Must be Fully Cleared Prior to Start.** **Top 3 Must-Haves:** 1. Forklift Experience 2. Experience in the Corrugated Industry 3. Safety/PPE Knowledge **Key Responsibilities:** + Operate Hogger, Shredder, and Unitizer daily as directed by the Shipping Supervisor. + Maintain good housekeeping practices. + Occasionally operate Power Industrial Trucks (PIT) with various attachments safely to handle products. + Visually inspect finished products and provide feedback to machine operators to improve/maintain quality. + Manipulate manual hand tools. + Lift and carry raw materials and production supplies up to 50 lbs. occasionally. + Stack and sort dunnage sheets. + Perform machine cleanup tasks as assigned by the Supervisor. + Complete weekly machine start-up tasks as directed by the Supervisor. + Report machine and PIT issues as necessary. **Required Qualifications:** + Safe Work Practices certification (annual training) + Lockout/Tagout certification (annual training) + Ability to communicate effectively with team members in a noisy work environment. + Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions. + Follow verbal instructions from Supervisors. + Quick thinking and action in a fast-paced production environment. + Basic math skills to count production quantities, measure raw materials, and finished products. **Physical Demands:** + **Standing:** Continually + **Pushing:** Occasionally + **Carrying:** Occasionally up to 30 lbs. + **Pulling:** Frequently up to 30 lbs. + **Hand/Grasp:** Continually + **Foot Controls:** Occasionally + **Talk/Hear:** Communicate with coworkers in a noisy environment + **Vision:** Ability to see clearly at near & far distances, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision to view the work environment and computer **Environmental Conditions:** + Controlled environment with noise from refrigeration equipment and other production machinery.
