With over 4,200 employees and over 30 global manufacturing brands, AGI is a leading provider of equipment and technology solutions for agricultural commodities including seed, fertilizer, grain and feed systems and an expanding platform for food processing facilities. **The Opportunity** In this role you will be able to set up, calibrate, and operate metal fabrication machines (Laser, Turret, Punches, Brakes and Shears), CNC machines, and/or roll forming equipment. **The Team** You will work independently to complete projects in an efficient manner and will report directly to the Production Supervisor. **Responsibilities** + Operate machines that are CNC controlled, as well as Presses, Brakes, Shears and Saws + Measure and examine a sample of the machine product before making a full production run + Check machine operation and report faults to their supervisor + Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements + Perform daily preventative maintenance checks on machines + Read and understand blueprints, specifications and drawings + Set machinery up to operate within precise parameters + Communicate with maintenance or engineering personnel regarding setup of equipment and technical issues. + Complete all other tasks as assigned **Qualifications** + Proven ability to work safely + Completion of grade 12 or GED + Must be able to read a tape measure + Able to interpret technical drawings and specifications + Must be comfortable using a computer + Exemplary attendance record + Must enjoy practical work and technical activities, and possess a mechanical aptitude + Prior experience operating a CNC machine in a manufacturing environment is an asset + Must have strong work ethic, good communication skills, be able to work as part of a team + Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
