Machine Repair Technician
Position Overview International is currently looking for a skilled Machine Repair Technician for a 2nd or 3rd shift position at our Springfield Assembly Plant. We are looking for candidates with industrial manufacturing experience, specifically with Robotic Welders, Conveyors and Transfer Systems, a strong mechanical background and work ethic. These are represented positions with excellent benefits including dental, medical and a generous 401k. This position will pay $36.42 / hour with a 6% shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift. Must be available for 2nd and/or 3rd shift. Responsibilities + Install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment + Work with precision measuring instruments + Operate machine shop equipment + Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignments or other problems + Remove and replace worn or defective parts + Read hydraulic schematics to aid in troubleshooting hydraulic systems + Read pneumatic schematics to aid in troubleshooting pneumatic systems + Ability to rebuild spindles, cylinders, valves, pumps, gearboxes, etc. + Start machines and equipment to test operation following repair + Document all work performed on equipment for reporting Minimum Requirements + High School Diploma or GED + Journeyman Machine Repairman or minimum 8 years in trade Additional Requirements + Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds + Must be able to work at heights, climb ladders and use aerial lift equipment + Must be able to work outdoors during cold and inclement weather + Must be a safety oriented, independent self-starters. + Willing to participate in continuous improvement activities + Punctual and regular attendance is required + Able and willing to work any shift assigned + Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal + Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills + Experience in steel fabrication + Experience in sheet metal fabrication and repair + Experience in basic machining + Experience with coupling alignment for motors, gearboxes and pumps. Laser Alignments, balancing and vibration analysis experience would be a plus + Rigging experience using cranes, hoist, chain falls, mobile cranes, slings, chains and cables + Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance that includes: inspection, lubrication, alignment, repair and revision of complex/sophisticated plant machinery and manufacturing equipment. + Experience with trouble shooting hydraulic and pneumatic circuits + Experience with conveyor system + Ability to weld + Plumbing experience + Strong Communication Skills + Willingness to listen + Team player Company Overview At International Motors, LLC* (“International”), we’ve never backed away from forging our own path.
