Machine Repairman
**Job Title: Machine Repairman** **Job Description** The Machine Repairmen/Riggers will be responsible for disassembling, replacing, and repairing presses and other industrial equipment for facilities primarily located in Michigan, Tennessee, and Ohio. This role involves using rigging equipment such as overhead cranes, hilo, gantries, and boom lifts to move presses when necessary. Candidates will work with tools and equipment to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial machinery. **Responsibilities** + Disassemble, replace, and repair presses and other industrial equipment. + Use rigging equipment to move presses and other machinery. + Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial equipment using appropriate tools. + Work safely at heights using man lifts, ladders, scaffolds, and stairs. + Travel to various job sites primarily in Michigan, Tennessee, and Ohio. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 1 year of experience with industrial equipment repair (e.g., stamping presses, forging presses). + Comfortable working at heights (30-50 feet) and using man lifts, ladders, scaffolds, and stairs. + Valid driver's license and willingness to travel outside of the state. + Experience with PLC troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and the use of hand and power tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Minimum of 2 years of experience with industrial equipment repair. + Ability to utilize precision measurement equipment. + Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues with industrial equipment. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including company-provided tools and PPE, apprenticeship and comprehensive training programs, paid holidays upon hire, competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance, HSA with employer contribution, paid time off, company-paid short-term disability and life insurance, a safety bonus program, an employee stock ownership program, a work travel incentive, and a holiday bonus. **Work Environment** Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 6 AM to 3:30 or 4:30 PM, with 9 to 10-hour workdays and occasional weekend work (about one weekend a month). Employees meet at the shop in the morning and travel to job sites together, with pay starting from the time they punch in. The role involves working in industrial environments in Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee, including both permit and non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment. Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, respond quickly to auditory alarms and visual signals, move safely over uneven terrain, and work in cold/hot environments. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Walker, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $50.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
