Basic Purpose and Function:

Safe and efficient setup of converting machines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Safe set up and troubleshooting of bag machines and 2nd. Operation machines per job setup requirements.

Insure all guards are in place prior to Quality Control operation.

Insure machines are running at or above rate.

Efficient repair of machine break downs (Red lights) and machine adjustments on converting machines and 2nd. Operation machines.

Aid Roll Changer as needed.

Ensures the work conducted within the production area is performed in a safe and efficient manner.

All other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

Must always keep safety as a #1 priority.

High school diploma / GED / or equivalent preferred.

Candidate should possess basic mathematical skills.

Must be capable of reading a tape measure.

Troubleshooting skills on production equipment.

Good electrical and mechanical aptitude and experience.

Mechanical knowledge / experience on production equipment.

A good understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Good attendance and willing to work overtime.

Candidate should possess a strong work ethic, time management and troubleshooting skills, a positive attitude, and be detail oriented.

Individual must be able to work independently with minimal guidance required. This implies good time management, planning/organization, and decision-making skills.

Individual must be able to interact effectively with a wide variety of people, maintaining flexibility, objectivity and a capacity to handle multiple tasks
