Machine Technician The Machine Technician at Bensonwood will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of woodworking and manufacturing machines. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: + Maintain woodworking and manufacturing machines, including CNC machines. + Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal machine performance. + Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality and efficiency. + Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. + Maintain detailed records of machine performance, maintenance activities, and production metrics. + Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. + Provide training and support to other team members on machine operation and maintenance procedures. Qualifications: + Technical or vocational training in machinery operation or maintenance + Electrician skills + Availability for off-hours repairs + Experience with hydraulics, welding/metalwork, pneumatics, and fabrication + Minimum 2 years of experience in operating and maintaining woodworking or manufacturing machinery + Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics + Proficiency with hand and power tools + Familiarity with CNC programming and operation (a plus) + Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality + Strong communication and teamwork skills + Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment + Commitment to safety and sustainable building practices Physical Requirements: + Ability to stand, walk, and work on machinery for extended periods. + Capability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds. + Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
