Machine Technician
**Job Title: Machine Technician** **Job Description** As a Machine Technician, you will provide support, participate proactively, and demonstrate leadership in Safety and Quality in your area. You will be responsible for keeping the machines and working area clean and in good condition. You will operate, change over, and make fine adjustments to the production Semiautomatic Line, specifically the Box Former and/or Box Closer or Case Packer, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). You will troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly and maintain high-quality product standards. **Responsibilities** + Ensure compliance with Safety legal requirements and standards, both external and internal. + Maintain cleanliness and good condition of machines and working area before, during, and after shifts. + Operate, change over, and adjust the Box Former and/or Box Closer or Case Packer following SOP. + Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner. + Ensure high-quality product standards from the Box Former and/or Box Closer, Case Packer. + Maintain constant flow of the line to avoid unexpected downtimes, collaborating with maintenance, engineering, and other support areas. + Support line operation activities such as Autonomous Maintenance (AM), 5S, Quality Checks, and Line Release Audits. + Propose improvements in production processes regarding safety, quality, and operations. **Essential Skills** + 2-5 years of experience in packaging, production equipment, quality inspection, and quality standards. + Experience with production equipment, quality control, and minor machine maintenance. + Proficiency in troubleshooting, quality assurance, and inventory control. + Experience in shipping and receiving, material handling, forklift operation, and computer skills. + Ability to conduct visual inspections, read blueprints, and perform color matching. + Experience with CNC, inspection, and machine operation, ideally in box manufacturing or related fields. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 1-2 years of experience with high-speed production lines, specifically with box former/box closer and case packer machines. + Preferred experience with cardboard processing machinery. + Strong verbal and written communication skills with peers and leaders. + Good math skills, ability to read a tape measure, understand fractions and decimals, and convert fractions and decimals. + Analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills. + Experience with computers in a manufacturing setting (e.g., EasyHMI, electronic settings, solving for faults/alarms). + Experience with minor mechanical repairs (e.g., jams, using tools, making basic adjustments to equipment). + Experience with conducting preventative maintenance. **Why Work Here?** At the core of our company is the belief that only the best is good enough.
