Job Description
As a Machine Technician, you will provide support, participate proactively, and demonstrate leadership in Safety and Quality within the area. You will comply with Safety legal requirements, standards (External/Internal), and others applicable to the area. You will be responsible for keeping the machines and working area clean and in good condition before, during, and after shifts. Additionally, you will operate, change over, and make fine adjustments to the production Semiautomatic Line, specifically the Box Former and/or Box Closer or Case Packer, following SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.Follow Quality standards to ensure high-quality products from the Box Former and/or Box Closer, Case Packer.Contribute to the constant flow of the line, avoiding unexpected downtimes and working with maintenance, engineering, and other support areas as necessary.Accomplish standard hourly production results.Support line operation activities such as Autonomous Maintenance (AM), 5S, Quality Checks, and Line Release Audit.Essential Skills2-5 years of experience in machine operation, ideally in box manufacturing or related fields.Experience with minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting.Quality, safety, and operational machine checks.Proficiency in quality control, quality assurance, and quality checks.Experience with inventory control, loading, RF scanning, and transportation.Additional Skills & QualificationsVocational degree or technical certification preferred; years of work experience in machine operation will also comply with requirements.1-2 years of experience as a machine operator, particularly with box former/box closer and case packer machines, and with high-speed production lines.Preferred experience with cardboard processing machinery.Experience with computers in a manufacturing setting (EasyHMI, electronic settings, solving for faults/alarms).Experience with minor mechanical repairs (e.g., jams, using tools, making basic adjustments to equipment).Experience with conducting preventative maintenance (e.g., inspecting and maintaining equipment, detecting and correcting issues before they occur).Why Work Here?
