What You Will Do:

The Pratt & Whitney Columbus Forge Module Center is looking for a Machine Tool Services (MTS) Supervisor. The Machine Tool Services (MTS) Supervisor will lead a team of skilled traders, general maintenance employees and contractors who construct, maintain, and repair equipment in the manufacturing shop.

Supervise the maintenance/machine tool team and direct the special project and support team; be the primary interface with operations to support with troubleshooting and formulate/implement solutions via Lean initiatives

Lead implementation of mistake-proofing changes to maintain and increase uptime at the sites; participate in best practice sharing and standardization of 6S and TPM projects

Create and communicate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) on new process and ensure training for maintenance/machine tool team members

Ensure appropriate procedures, design guidelines and design tools are utilized

Qualifications You Must Have: 

Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years experience in a maintenance/machine tool environment or an Associate's degree and 4 or more years in a maintenance/machine tool environment

In absence of a degree, a high school diploma and 6 or more years experience maintenance/machine tool environment prior leadership experience in manufacturing or maintenance.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

Leadership/supervisory experience; understanding of basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.

Experience using SAP

Knowledge of OSHA and EH&S standards

Familiar with Lean tools and processes

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
