Fulfill all of the duties as prescribed under regulations 31 (5) of the Factories and Machinery (Electric Passenger and Goods Lifts) Regulations, 1970 and as below.Thoroughly examine the lift at least once in every three months and cause the lift to be serviced and adjusted once in every month.Fulfill all of the duties as prescribed under regulations 31 (6) of the Factories and Machinery (Electric Passenger and Goods Lifts) Regulations, 1970 and as below.Ensure that a register in respect of every lift in the form shown in the Second Schedule to these regulations shall be kept on the premises in which the lift is installed wherein shall be recorded –(a) details of every examination, servicing and adjustment referred to in paragraph (5) of this regulation;(b) details of any repair to the lift considered necessary by the competent person andsubsequently the date when such repair has been effected;(c) details of the breakage of any suspension rope, the failure of any part of the lift machine, over-speeding of the car whether or not safety gear functioned and any other occurrence resulting in the lift being immobilised; and(d) such other information as the Chief Inspector may from time to time direct.Fulfill all of the duties as prescribed under regulations 31 (7) of the Factories and Machinery (Electric Passenger and Goods Lifts) Regulations, 1970 and as below.Ensure such entries as are referred to in item 4 of this job description shall be made by the competent person within one week after the event to which it relates.Fulfill all of the duties as prescribed under regulations 31 (8) of the Factories and Machinery (Electric Passenger and Goods Lifts) Regulations, 1970 and as below.Ensure such register as is referred to item 4 of this job description shall be produced for the Inspector's examination at every regular inspection of the lift and as and when requested by the Inspector.Assist CP1 and or CP2 in conducting Pre JKJ166 measurement and site checkUpdating data for all inspection conducted eg. Expiring date of CF and 2nd Schedule inspectionPrepare corrective action report for all deficiencies found during 2nd schedule inspection. Follow-up with the respective PIC and or Section Manager for prompt closure of the deficiencies.Shall ensure that lifts and or escalators are in "readiness" condition for Annual authority inspection for the purpose of renewing the Certificate of Fitness. To advise CP1 and or CP2 of any non-compliances before such inspection. Notify DOSH of any accident or incident involving the lifts and or escalator.Conduct investigation with CP1 and or CP2 and provide Technical Accident Report and remedial action.Support EHS Dept in area of Safety & Health of the employee of the Organization, other people during installation, testing, routine maintenance and repair according to OHSAS Act 1994 and Otis WWJSSS compliances.All other responsibilities assigned to you from time to time
Requirements
1. Degree/Diploma in Engineering or equivalent and Accreditation from JKKP as a Competent Person
2. Knowledge of leading/ driving quality system / process
3. Strong program management skills and knowledge of OTIS Quality processes
4. Communication skills - verbal and written
5. People management / leadership experience
6. Computer knowledge – Words, Excel, PowerPoint.
7. Position based in HQ overseeing units in N9 & Melaka. Frequent travelling required.
