DescriptionThe Machinery Technician will be responsible for the use, care, and maintenance of the the Kolbus DA 260 Casemaker. The Machinery Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of duties including the troubleshooting repair and maintenance of the Kolbus D 260. This individual will help drive production excellence for the Photos team, working to ensure the overall effectiveness of the equipment and its output.
Key Responsibilities Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of the Kolbus DA 260 Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Read and interpret equipment manuals/schematics to perform required maintenance and service Actively participate in process improvements initiatives Understand root cause of issues and develop long term fixes Communicate effectively with operations Perform effectively in a team or individually to meet deadlines and site objectives Support training efforts of operations support Perform other duties as assigned Ability to sit for long perids Ability to stand for extended periods of time while walking frequently Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Able to bend, stoop, and reach MUST be able to work on multiple shifts and different hours during peak season
Skills Knowledge and Expertise High School Diploma Or GED required Ability to perform well under pressure 2+years bindery, and digital press or other equipment experience Must be very detail-oriented Good comprehension and communication skills-including written and verbal with the ability to interpret and comply with written and verbal instructions. Possess mechanical and electrical aptitude including use of multimeter and mechanical tools Should be able to work as a team as well as independently to meet deadlines and timeframes Must be dependable and have the ability to change work schedule on short notice Safety and 6S Oriented Basic Guillotine Cutter/Corner Cutter Knowledge Basic Machine Operation Understanding(Gears,Belts, Tools, Safely) Basic Machine Troubleshooting Understanding Basic Craftsman Skills(calculating, Measuring, Cutting) Previous Print Experience a BIG + Arithmetic Skills Attentive Goal-Driven Process-Driven Clean
