Job Title: Machining Engineer

Job Description

The Machining Engineer will be responsible for keeping the machining lines moving, continuous improvement projects, lean manufacturing, and troubleshooting/modifying CNC Machines and PLCs. They will perform time studies, labor studies, defect reduction studies, process control changes and cost saving projects to make sure their line is running as efficiently as possible. This individual will need experience with both automated CNC Machines, PLCs, and Manual Machines and Tooling. This is a very hands-on position. We are looking for someone that is eager and willing to take ownership over the process.

Skills & QualificationsBachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline 3+ years experience in an automotive or heavy production environmentCNC programming/troubleshooting Proven experience leading and executing capital projects and continuous improvement activities

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Huntsville, Alabama.

Work Environment

Engine manufacturing plant, they machine and assemble the 4, 6, and Twin-turbo cylinder motors. The facility is primarily automated and divided into machining lines and assembly lines. The Machining line contains 230 machines - both manual and automated. They will be on the manufacturing floor (80%) and have a cubicle desk as well (20%).
