**Job Title: Machining Technician ($21/hr)**
**Job Description**
The Machining Technician is responsible for setting up and operating various machines in both secondary and primary operations across all manufacturing departments, with a specific focus on the collars department.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate all standard and specialized machines.
+ Assist in machine setup according to work order and standard setup procedures.
+ Learn the setup and operation of any new machines added to the department.
+ Check parts with standard gauges or precision measuring instruments and submit parts for inspection as required.
+ Operate machines to ensure proper functioning and instruct operators in procedures for producing parts that conform to specifications.
+ Perform SPC charting as required.
+ Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area on a daily basis.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in machine setup, inspection, and troubleshooting.
+ Proficiency in using measurement tools.
+ Experience in production and machine operation.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to assist in the setup and operation of machines.
+ Capability to learn the setup and operation of new machines.
+ Knowledge of SPC charting.
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
**Work Environment**
The work environment is a machine manufacturing shop. Steel toe boots are required. Adherence to ITAR regulations is mandatory, and proper documentation must be provided before being allowed on site.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
