JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $23-$26 per hour, plus $1.00 per hour shift differential

3rd Shift: 11:00 pm - 7:30 am 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Able to assess a situation and determine if an issue is machine related or process related and take corrective actionEfficiently work on non-conforming processes to get them in specificationDiagnose complex extrusion problems to resolve issues, inclusive of flow correctionsWork with the supervisor, lead, engineering, and maintenance to resolve complex issuesAssist with production qualification runs including capability assessmentParticipate in and support projects that are driven by business initiativesProvide training, instruction, and guidance to production associatesSupport, train, and assess associate learned skills through the Pay for Skills programWork in a safe manner and follow safety policies. Ensure co-workers are working safely and following safety policiesTrain new operatorsAnalyze SPC data to determine process/product conformance and trendsAnalyze production data and make necessary adjustments to operation of machines within the work cellIdentify and communicate appropriately when electrical/mechanical/technical support is neededParticipate and sustain 5S activitiesParticipate in and lead kaizen events and sustain improvements from those eventsMaintain and develop back-up tooling and transition tooling into productionHelp transition and qualify new materials, processes, and profile applicationsIdentify and implement process improvement conceptsHelp to identify and assist with experiments aimed at reducing customer related concerns, improving process capability and tooling longevityHelp develop and train associatesConduct and provide feedback where applicable for associatesParticipate and support projects that are driven by business initiativesSet-up and start-up any profile for all machines in a work cellTend to and operate machines in a work cell to produce required parts as determined by customer requirements and the production schedulePerform maintenance tasks as necessaryAttend and participate in appropriate training and development programsPerform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or managementAssists crew lead and supervisor with the training and development of entry level and senior level operators Qualifications Experience with profile extrusionStrong prioritization and multi-tasking capabilityStrong aptitude in problem solving and process improvementStrong computer skills – Windows, MS Access, MS ExcelEquipment maintenance experienceAbility to articulate problems and solutions verballyAbility to read and comprehend written instructions and process proceduresAbility and skills to collaborate effectively in a team environmentSelf-motivated and capable of managing stressful situationsAbility to lift 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist Additional information
