This position plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart’s products with the fabrication of parts and tools. This position is on the day shift: Day Shift: Monday - Friday; 5:45am-2:15pm Overtime hours as needed. **_What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…_** + Fabricates and modifies parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines + Designs and fabricates fixtures, as needed + Applies knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout and machining procedures + Machines parts to specifications using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders + Measures, examines, and tests completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications + Complete documentation, electronic or paper, on all work performed + Understands and adheres to established safety and quality procedures + Maintains a clean work area and practices general housekeeping standards + Performs all tasks to ISO standards and requirements + CNC programming experience& familiarity with ISO procedures preferred + Performs other duties as assigned. **_Your Education Should Be…_** + High school diploma or equivalent **_Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…_** + Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and occasional crawling. + Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. and occasionally heavier (50-60 lbs.) with assistance + Frequent close range visual inspection + Occasionalclimbing or balancing. + Exposure to metal cutting, welding odors, welding flash and incidental acceptable limits of x-ray radiation. + Possible exposure temperature extremes,airborne particles, and vibration.Loud noise level in the work environment. + While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. **_Your Professional Experience Should Be…_** + 2+ years of experience as a machinist + Experience using mills and lathes + 3+ years of CNC Pipe bending experience specifically on schedule 5 and 10 pipe is desired + Previous press brake or related CNC experience is preferred + Basic math skills (weight measurement, volume, distance, multiplication and division) + Read and interpret blueprints and design sketches + Attention to detail essential + Proven self - starter and ability to work independently + Able to work with both engineering and production staff + Experience in cost estimating and material needs + Proven ability to identify, reason and problem solve moderate to complex issues **_Chart is an equal opportunity employer..._** **_Need an Accommodation..._** Need an accommodation **with your job application or recruitment process** ?
