**Job Title: Machinist** **Job Description** This role is seeking a skilled and versatile Manual Lathe/Mill Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in operating and maintaining manual lathes and mills, with the ability to reverse engineer and fabricate parts for older equipment. This role demands a diverse skill set, including experience in pipe fitting, welding, plumbing, rigging, and working with mechanical and hydraulic systems. **Hard Skills** + Operating and maintaining manual lathes and mills + Reverse engineering + Fabricating parts for older equipment + Pipe fitting + Welding + Plumbing + Rigging + Working with mechanical and hydraulic systems **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Operating and maintaining manual lathes and mills + Maintain manual lathes and mills to produce precision parts and components. Perform setup, adjustments, and routine maintenance on machinery. + Analyze and reverse engineer broken or obsolete parts to create new components. Use blueprints, sketches, and existing parts as references. + Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including working on bearings, belts, gears, chains, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. + Utilize skills in pipe fitting, welding, and plumbing to fabricate and assemble parts and systems. + Safely rig and move heavy machinery and parts. Coordinate with team members to ensure proper handling and placement. **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Richmond, Virginia. **Work Environment** Heavier industrial and not climate controlled but not as heavy industrial as larger product environments. The facility manufactures rolls of paper/cardboard to make packaging and cartons.
