Primary operations on Bridgeport/Prototrak machine. However, operating other basic machine shop equipment may be required. Responsibilities: + Read blueprints to determine specifications and requirements necessary to create a quality work piece. + Position and align work piece for machining. Assist with the assembly of precision fitted parts as applicable. Position and align work piece for machining using hand tools and overhead hoist. + Know machining concepts relative to speeds/feeds as they apply to different material types. Know machining concepts relative to speeds/feeds as they apply to different material types. + Verify quality of work piece using measuring instruments, such as callipers, gauges, & micrometres. + Perform daily maintenance of equipment and maintain a clean working environment. Skills/Knowledge: + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with a wide range of people and personality types. + Ability to present, communicate and leverage ideas to internal clients. + Prefer 5-10 years of experience.
