Start your new career as a Machinist with Morgan Advanced Materials in Greenville, SC. As a Machinist, you will set up and operate all standard and CNC machine shop equipment to produce high-quality parts. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
What We Offer: Pay of $28 - $32 per hour based on experience First shift | Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Health benefits, including telehealth medical services 401k 2 weeks of paid vacation What We’re Looking For: High School Diploma or GED Machinist certification or significant experience in a machine shop environment Demonstrated ability to work as a team player, contributing to collective success Willingness to work overtime as needed Ability to stand for the majority of an 8-hour shift Capable of working in an indoor manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels Continuous use of hands and fingers for grasping, pinching, pulling, handling, and manipulating materials, parts, and tools Required specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, and depth perception Consistent use of eye and foot protection Ability to lift 35 lbs. What You’ll Do as a Machinist: Set up and perform a range of machining operations on both standard and CNC equipment Create and edit complex CNC programs for precise operation Read and understand blueprints ranging from simple to complex Plan and execute simple projects, including the construction of jigs and fixtures Ensure all work meets quality standards through visual and dimensional inspections Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on task completion Highly safety-conscious, maintaining a strong commitment to safe work practices Excellent time management and consistent attendance Adherence to all company policies, including safety, attendance, and conduct Ability to perform effectively under demanding time constraints Skilled in multitasking and prioritizing tasks efficiently Proven ability to collaborate well with subordinates, peers, and supervisors across all departments Adhere to all plant safety rules, with safety recognized as a condition of employment Maintain a clean and organized workspace by following 5S principles Perform additional duties as assigned
