**Job Title: Machinist** **Job Description** As a Machinist, you will be responsible for operating machines, reading blueprints, and using measuring instruments. While setup experience is a plus, it is not required for all machinist roles. You will mainly operate mills and lathes, with a focus on Mazaks, and mill and lathe combination machines. **Responsibilities** + Operate machines, read blueprints, and use measuring instruments. + Receive work orders and run assigned machines. + Load/unload parts, check parts, and report any issues to the setup person. + If able to set up, required to set up machines, load programs, ensure dimensional accuracy, machine first piece, and check parts. + Maintain records of parts run, scrap count, and tool breaks. + Meet performance metrics for run time and parts per hour with support and training from leads. + Notify team lead of any issues and communicate effectively. + Complete and set up multiple work orders per day as needed. + Check for tool wear, replace tools as needed, and adjust dimensions to avoid scrap. + Operate machines with G&M code, Fanuc controls, and mostly 3-4 axis mills and lathes. + Hold tolerances between +/- .2 and +/- .0005, working mostly with steel and aluminum. **Essential Skills** + Ideally 3-5 years of CNC experience and setup. + Proficiency with standard measuring tools such as micrometers, drop gauges, and indicators. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Strong attention to detail and attendance. + Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team. + Positive attitude and aptitude for learning. **Why Work Here?** We are a safety-conscious organization in a steady and growing industry, providing stability and security.
