**CNC Machinist** Pay Rate - $27/hr. - $32/hr. **Job Description** The Machinist is responsible for performing the primary steps of the hot stamp cylinder production process where the cylinder is cut into shape, the body is machined, the bearer and gear are machined, and heat shrinks it into place. A machinist will conduct the work by mostly standing and walking, however, on occasion, they may be required to sit, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes and milling machines to machine metal rotary cutting tools. + Develop and update CNC machining programs to accurately machine components per 3D CAD models, drawings, and specifications using G and M codes. + Assist in managing expendable tooling inventory and documentation of procedures. + Perform appropriate quality checks after each processing step. + Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions, adjust machines and report defects and malfunctions appropriately. + Keep work area clean and free of safety hazards. + Wear the proper and required safety gear/equipment. + Lift 10 to 50 pounds safely. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of CNC machining experience. + Mechanical aptitude and experience in working on machine tools and equipment. + Ability to read blueprints and work orders. + Advanced mathematics knowledge, understanding of the metric system is a plus. + Computer knowledge. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Programming using CAM software and understanding G and M CNC programming codes is preferred but not required. + High-level of attention to detail at all times. + Detail-oriented, time management, communication, and multitasking skills. + Ability to work independently and stay focused. **Why Work Here?** Here are the company benefits when brought on permanently: 100% Employer Paid Health, Dental, and Accident Insurance premiums (100% covered for Employee-only and 75% for Dependent-plus coverage), Bi-Weekly employer contribution to Health Savings Account, 401(k) with up to 4.5% employer match, Life Insurance, Short- and Long-Term Disability, Vacation, Sick Time, and Paid Holidays, and Additional supplemental insurance plans. **Work Environment** Climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
