**Job Shop Machinist**
**Job Description**
We are looking for a skilled Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on lathes and mills, both horizontal and vertical, with tight tolerances. Proficiency in G and M codes is essential.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate and maintain horizontal and vertical lathes and mills.
+ Work with tight tolerances and ensure precision in machining processes.
+ Perform own set-ups and break-downs of machinery.
+ Make minor edits in the CNC programs as needed.
+ Maintain and operate overhead cranes, hoists, and forklifts.
+ Handle low volume, high mix machining tasks.
+ Ensure a safe and clean working environment in the machine shop.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in G and M codes.
+ Experience with horizontal lathes and mills.
+ CNC machining experience.
+ Ability to perform set-ups and break-downs independently.
+ Knowledge of minor program edits.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience maintaining overhead cranes, hoists, and forklifts.
+ Familiarity with low volume, high mix machining.

**Work Environment**
The role is based in a heavy industrial manufacturing setting, specifically within a machine shop. This environment involves working with various machinery and tools, adhering to safety standards, and ensuring consistent precision in all tasks.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
