**Job Title: Machinist**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a team-oriented machinist with a strong work ethic, natural curiosity, and a desire to learn. The selected individual will have experience as a machinist, tool & die maker, or millwright. This role involves working in a unique facility performing highly-skilled, custom work. Final job description and rate of pay will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate machine tools such as drill presses, lathes, boring mills, milling machines, surface grinders, etc.
+ Perform precise measurements using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.
+ Use common power and hand tools.
+ Operate machinery like fork-lifts, telehandlers, manlifts, etc.
+ Select cutting feeds and speeds for machining.
+ Perform rigging and lifting using overhead cranes.
+ Read and interpret mechanical drawings.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with welding, rigging, and fabrication.
+ Millwright experience.
+ Machining skills.
+ Self-motivated and seeking challenges.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Ability to work well in group settings or independently.
+ Safe working habits.

+ Appreciation for history or old things.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ CNC programming experience.
+ Prior experience in a railroad environment.
+ Experience with welding, brazing, and torch cutting.
+ CAD or CAM software skills.
+ Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems.
+ Knowledge of ASME or NBIC codes.
+ Formal training or degree in relevant skills.
+ Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office products.

**Work Environment**
This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of forty hours per week, with regular variations due to changing projects and priorities. The work is primarily indoors, but duties will occasionally require outdoor work in all weather conditions. The job requires frequent work in areas of restricted movement, the need for personal protective equipment, extended periods of walking or standing, and frequent lifting of more than 50 pounds.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ronks, Pennsylvania.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00
