We are seeking a skilled Machinist to support CNC departments. The ideal candidate will be placed in the department where they are most skilled, whether it be vertical, horizontal, or EDM machining.
ResponsibilitiesLoad and unload fixtures, operate horizontal and vertical milling machines.Use gages to inspect products to ensure conformance to quality standards.Use controllers to make offset changes and adjustments on CNC machines and change out tooling as needed.Troubleshoot and perform routine and preventative maintenance on advanced machinery and equipment.Read and fully interpret blueprints Review production schedules and work orders, interpret job specifications and blueprints, set up and operate CNC machines, and troubleshoot any issues.Collaborate with engineering as needed according to the Inspection Plan, and comply with established standards and methods for inspection, testing, evaluation, and calibration.Inspect items produced to determine if they meet specifications, change tools as per the frequencies indicated on the Tool Sheet, and regularly inspect tools and measuring equipment for defects and wear, replacing as needed.Perform preventive maintenance activities on equipment in assigned areas and communicate any need for repairs to management.Essential SkillsCNC machine operation and setupBlueprint reading and interpretationExperience with tight tolerances and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Why Work Here?Enjoy a clean working environment with great benefits.
