Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist with experience in CNC or Manual Lathe operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for running up to 30 different parts in a day, primarily overseeing the manual operations of a lathe. This role involves machining large industrial equipment with a focus on quality over quantity. Candidates should have experience with drilling, cutting, tapping, threading, and using blueprints.

ResponsibilitiesOperate and program CNC machining equipment to make and/or repair a variety of components.Work from prints to make a variety of components.Perform quality inspections and adhere to tight tolerances.Use overhead cranes, hoists, mills, CNC, and various other machining principles.Perform other assignments at the direction of departmental leadership.Follow all safety rules and perform housekeeping functions.Essential SkillsExperience with manual lathe operationsProficiency in drilling, cutting, tapping, and threadingAbility to read and work from blueprintsKnowledge of mechanical, CNC equipment, and machining principlesExperience with tooling, calipers, micrometers, and various quality measurement devicesAdditional Skills & QualificationsCNC programming experience is a plusExperience with TIG welding is advantageous but not requiredComfortable operating cranes and hoistsAbility to work with tight tolerances and perform quality inspectionsWillingness to train Level 1 candidates with relevant job history or CNC experienceWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

This is a non-climate controlled, well-kept shop where you will work on mining equipment, which can be dirty. The first shift hours are flexible, and the second shift runs from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, Monday through Friday, with a $0.75 shift differential. Overtime is voluntary first and then mandated second, with anything over 8 hours paid at 1.5x and Saturdays at 1.5x, while Sundays are paid at 2x.

The pay range for this position is $45240.00 - $55827.20
