Machinist
Are you a skilled machinist with a passion for precision fabrication? Join our team at the Mechanical Engineering Machine Shop and work on cutting-edge aerospace projects! Key Responsibilities: + Operate a variety of machine tools (lathe, mill, press, shear, band saw, grinders) to fabricate prototype and development parts. + Collaborate with internal customers on research and development projects. + Verify and evaluate tasks with the Manager and test requester. + Report and review job status with the manager regularly. Required Experience: + Ability to Obtain U.S. Government Security Clearance + Minimum 4 years of technical fabrication experience in a prototype/development environment. + Experience in metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, and composites fabrication. + At least 1 year of experience with basic steel and aluminum alloys using knee mill, band saw, and manual lathe. + Ability to manage scheduling conflicts and prioritize projects. + Proficiency in Windows-based MS Office-suite for communication, scheduling, and data processing. + High School diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training or Associate degree. Desired Skills: + ACTIVE Secret Clearance + 1-2 years of experience with Computer Measuring Machining (CMM). + 2-4 years of experience with metal cutting/machining (ferrous/non-ferrous). + Knowledge of CNC machines, CATIA, Creo, Pro E, and G-code programming. + Understanding of GD&T and Mil-Spec Standards. + Advanced knowledge of various metals, layout, cutting, bending, and forming. Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is Required to be considered for this role.
