GE’s Greenville Gas Turbine Machinist Apprentice Program combines both academic studies and on-the-job training to develop the fundamentals required to become a skilled machinist with GE Power.

 Program Summary

Specialized 3-year program combining on-the-job training with coursework through Greenville Technical CollegeApprentices paid for on-the-job trainingTuition, fees and books paid by GE (via Tuition Reimbursement)*Mentoring, teamwork, ongoing reviewsEarn a 2-year Machine Tool Technology Associates DegreeTraining in basic measurements, assembly, safety, print reading, and many other manufacturing processes

Qualifications/Requirements

Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent, by the start of the program on November 4th, of 2024.Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA – per semester and cumulative18 years or older by November 4th, 2024Successful completion of a background check and drug screenLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this jobWear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs, and safety shoesWork in a tobacco free environment

Pay Rate: The pay for this position is $23.764 This position is also eligible for shift premium when you work on an off shift i.e. 2nd or 3rd shift. Plus $1.00 USD an hour on top of base pay. This posting is expected to close on Sept 16th, 2024
