Responsibilities

 

Able to set-up and operate manual for CNC lathe, engine lathes, surface grinders or OD-ID grinders with minimal supervision Must be able to set-up and operate tool room equipment including Jig Bore and Jig Grinding Machines. Honing, lapping, and EDM experience beneficial Can read and follow set-up sheets, operation sheets, blueprints, programs and/or drawings Meet production deadlines by following manufacturing schedules and procedures Be able to troubleshoot and offer suggestions on how to resolve machining concerns Uses a variety of machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments  Able to make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds, measures, marks and scribes’ dimensions and reference points Able to set and use all standard measuring instruments Ability to program, edit and modify programs as needed Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or VIP Qualifications

 

Completion of a formal apprenticeship or 2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment Mathematical Skills Mechanical Skills Detail Oriented Time Management Skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Knowledge of technical functions Knowledge of computer skills Ability to work well within a team as well as individually. Ability to communicate effectively Additional Information
