GENERAL DESCRIPTION\n\nCandidate will produce parts using standard machining processes.\n\n

DUTIES\n\nCalculate dimensions and tolerances and have significant knowledge of mathematics and precision measurement instruments. \nFabricate assemblies or subassemblies using machine tools such as saws, lathes, and milling machines.\nMakes setup decision relative to part, product and material being used. \nMeasure and examine completed products to ensure they meet drawing and customer requirements. \nMake adjustments and setup changes of a minor nature on basic machine tools and equipment. \nAlign and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments and materials onto machines. \nMonitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper machine performance. \nEvaluate the machining process to ensure that the area is clear of all potential hazards. \nEnsure all PPE is in place prior to beginning the machining process. \nWill train and assist Machinist I and II.\nOther Duties as assigned.\n\n

EDUCATION\/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\n\nHigh School diploma or equivalent and trade school diploma in Machining\/Machining Science.\n7 - 9 years' work history in a machining environment.\nAbility to read and machine product from complex engineering drawings.\nCapable of controlling the operations of equipment or systems used to produce machined products.\nMonitoring of gauges, dials and or other indicators to ensure proper machine operations.\nCapable of using advanced mathematics and experience in machining to solve problems.\nThe ability to select the right tool for the job.\nBasic knowledge of CNC programming and can make program edits that are minor in nature.\nCapable of producing products from engineering drawings.\nSignificant experience in the use of precision measurement instruments.\nSignificant knowledge of raw materials used in the machining industry.\nHas the ability to train others.\nAbility to inspect work area for any potential safety hazards prior to beginning operations.\nWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.\n\n
