Primary Responsibilities:

Reads and interprets drawings, sketches and blueprints and be able to interpret Geometrics Dimensioning and TolerancingSets up and operates machine shop equipment, e.g., mills, lathes, drill presses, etc., to cut material and drill holes according to specificationsInspects and measures completed projects with micrometers, calipers, venires, etc., to ensure conformance to specificationsAbility to use Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)Must Adhere to all EH&S regulations and policies as well as attend related training coursesFollow EH&S roles and responsibilities in accordance with Cargo Policy MP5322Completion of certified operator programWorking knowledge of machine control languagesEnsure preventive maintenance schedules are completed with TPM boards kept up-to-dateMaintains a neat and well organized work areaEngages in Continuous Imprudent activities associated with their work area (TPM, Heijunka, Standard Work, SMED)Verifies machine dimensions, alignments and clearances in accordance to specificationsSelects, aligns and secures grinding wheels, holding fixtures, attachments, accessories and materials on machinesCalculates and sets controls to regulate grinding parameters, such as speed, feed and depth and angel of cutCan efficiently setup and operate CNC mills, machining centers and/or lathes on a simple to moderate operationExperience with machining tooling and prototypesHigh usage of all company data collection mechanism (dispatches, datapass, autotime)Conduct self quality audits/perform first piece inspections, and subsequent inspections on all workPerform various miscellaneous and non-standard duties as required

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires a HS diploma with a minimum of 2 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience is requiredMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
