**Job Title: Machinist - Weekend Shift**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team for the weekend shift. This position requires operating a variety of machine tools and equipment, interpreting engineering drawings, and ensuring timely completion of work. The schedule for this role is Friday through Sunday, from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate a wide variety of machine tool equipment such as a drill press, lathe, milling machine, CNC, and other hand and power machines.
+ Work from blueprints, sketches, production diagrams, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions to fabricate a variety of machined components.
+ Make shop calculations using handbook formulas to layout patterns and determine tooling feeds and speeds.
+ Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers.
+ Program a variety of machines.
+ Provide work leadership to others.
+ Work with production control to allocate jobs to machinists ensuring work is completed on schedule.
+ Ensure sufficient resources such as manpower, machinery, tooling, and material to meet production schedules.
+ Maintain and perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Maintain records of maintenance.
+ Arrange for outside service repair of equipment as required.
+ Train new employees if assigned.
+ Perform other job functions as assigned.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Troubleshooting skills.
+ Experience in machine operating and machine operation.
+ Programming skills, including G code and CNC programming.
+ Experience with lathe, manual, and micrometer tools.
+ Experience with Fanuc, Haas, and similar equipment.
+ Experience in inspection, machining, production, machine setup, milling, tooling, and machine shop operations.

**Work Environment**
This position is based in a machine shop environment, requiring the use of various technologies and equipment. The work schedule is Friday through Sunday, from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. The role involves physical activity, including heavy lifting, and adherence to safety protocols is essential.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, California.
