Machinist Level 4
As a Machinist Level 4 here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our machining processes run efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards, while optimizing production schedules. You will guide a team of skilled technicians and work with other departments to meet production goals and customer requirements. Your guidance will be instrumental in maintaining and improving our manufacturing operations to increase savings and better serve our customers.
You will report directly to our Machine Shop Manager and you will work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and quality of our machining operations, contributing to the success of our manufacturing processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Guide a team of skilled machinists, programmers, and facilitate staff, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and collaboration.
• Efficiently allocate and manage resources, including machinery, manpower, and materials, to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure that all manufactured parts meet or exceed quality standards and specifications.
• Develop production schedules, set priorities, and monitor workflow to optimize machine shop productivity and meet customer demands.
• Oversee machine maintenance and repair schedules to ensure that all equipment is operational, safe, and properly maintained.
• Monitor and control operational expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities while ensuring the shop remains within budget.
• Ensure the machine shop complies with all safety regulations and best practices, fostering a safe work environment for all employees.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, implementing lean manufacturing ethics and identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains.

YOU MUST HAVE
• Proven experience as a machinist or a similar role
• 4+ years of experience with machining processes and equipment
• Excellent technical knowledge and expertise in machining technologies
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in project management and execution
• Strong customer focus and ability to build and maintain relationships
