Machinist Supervisor
**CNC Machinist Supervisor** **Job Summary** The Machine Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the machine shop, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality parts and components. This role involves managing a team of machinist and machine shop assistants, coordinating workflow, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety and compliance. The supervisor plays a critical role in optimizing productivity, controlling costs, and maintaining a safe working environment. **Requirements** · Proven experience in a machine shop environment, with supervisory or leadership roles. · Prefer to have 5+ years in a supervisory role **Duties include but are not limited to** · Assign daily activities to Machine Shop personnel · Assist with part setup planning · Monitor daily activity to ensure machines remain active and workflow continues throughout the Machine Shop · Mentor Machinists and Machine Shop Assistants · Work with Manufacturing Engineering to improve machining plans and machine programs · Work with Quality Control to ensure coordination of in-process inspections · Work with Maintenance to ensure both preventive maintenance and as needed maintenance is performed as required **Ideal candidates would have the following qualifications:** · Be able to read blueprints · GD&T · Have a mathematical aptitude · Working knowledge of FANUC controls · Working knowledge of horizontal boring mills · Machine Programming (G-Code & MasterCAM) · Excellent communication skills · Large part setup · Microsoft programs **Physical Requirements:** + Must be able to stand for long periods of time. + Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times. + Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials. + PPE is required at all times in the plant. + Must be able to read and write in English. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
