Essenatial Duties and Responsibilities Assist Campus Student Services Specialist and Campus Director with general office support, computer lab coverage and zoom technology for streaming classes. Provide friendly customer service and assistance to students, faculty and community members on campus and via zoom. Maintain security of computer and zoom equipment and facilities. Assist computer lab users with a wide range of college & computer questions. Assist with hardware/software maintenance and clerical duties. Facilitate the smooth operation of zoom classrooms and computer lab: keep the zoom rooms and computer lab clean and report machine and software problems. Follow established procedures and work orders. Provide assistance for campus events during the week and weekend work hours. Provide assistance to campus staff in clerical and specific campus needs. Perform other duties as assigned. Ability to work flexible schedule during the week and weekend; willingness to travel to various locations as required. Knowledge of and skills in computer environment and MS Office, able to learn internal database systems. Knowledge of and ability to operate general office equipment (copier, fax machine, scanner, phones). Able to troubleshoot software currently in use. Knowledge of and skills for good time management. Skills and ability to be organized and manage multiple tasks. Knowledge of and ability to have exceptional judgment Ability to have good communication skills. Knowledge and ability to use effective listening skills. Ability to work cooperatively with and contribute to a diverse workplace through ideas or experience. Ability to handle stressful or potentially volatile situations with tact, diplomacy and good judgment. Knowledge of and ability to abide by, communicate, support, and enforce all applicable policies and expectations. Ergonomic Requirements Regular office hours are established between 8 am – 8 pm during the workweek and on Saturdays. A flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, may be necessary due to the nature of the responsibilities.
Incumbent must be able to function effectively indoors in an office environment engaged in work of primarily a sedentary nature. Requires the ability to work at a workstation for extended periods. Requires to write, read written materials and computer screens, and ability to use telephonic conversations. Occasional lifting up to 25lbs. All individuals are required to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Minimum Requirements Education:High School diploma or equivalent.
