Job Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY:
Loads coils onto line and produces blank steel sheets.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up and operate all progressive blank dies and per work instructions/Run Parameters.Verify punch press safety inspection (daily)/blanking press change over checklist (daily and/or every changeover).Lubricate pins/brushings.Report breakdowns to supervisors as necessary.Ability to operate overhead craneAble to competently drive a forklift. Follow all work cell and/or department standardized work instructions/procedures.Ensure compliance to TS16949, ISO14001, and PPE requirements.Ensure, with the cooperation of other departments, the highest possible Customer rating for satisfaction; strive for zero defects in all areas of the business.Ensure enforcement of Customer Specific Requirements and Quality Management System (TS16949) without compromising either Co-Ex-Tec or its Customers.Promote and comply with health, safety, and environmental standards, safe operating procedures, good housekeeping practices and the observance of protective equipment at all times.Initiate preventative and corrective actions as it pertains to job responsibility.Initiate and/or participate in continuous improvement activities.Attend authorized training to develop and/or maintain relevant job-related knowledge, techniques, skills and/or certification.May be required to carry out job duties and responsibilities in a work environment that may include, but is not limited to, varying levels of noise and/or temperature.Any other reasonable duties requested by Management.REQUIREMENTS:
High school Diploma, or equivalentBlank die set-up and operating experience.Excellent understanding of the plant safety rules.Mechanical knowledge and abilityGood communication skills, including a basic working knowledge of English, verbal and written and mathematicsUnderstanding of lean manufacturing, an assetYEAR 1 + TRAINING GUIDELINES:Obtain forklift operator certification within the first 30 days Standardized Work Instructions/Procedures Quality Management System Overview Environmental Management System Overview W.H.M.I.S.
