Element has an opportunity for a Magnetic Particle Level I Technician or Trainee for our 2nd Shift (1-9:30pm) where you'll assist in conducting non-destructive testing to ensure the integrity and safety of critical components. This role offers hands-on training in industry-standard inspection techniques and provides a solid foundation for advancing your career.
Compensation: $21 -26/hour DOE + $1 Shift Differential
ResponsibilitiesAssisting in NDT Procedures:
Support the execution of non-destructive testing methods (e.g., visual, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, and dye penetrant testing) under the guidance of experienced technicians.Help prepare test parts by cleaning and prepping surfaces to ensure proper test conditions.Data Collection and Documentation:
Record and document test results accurately.Assist in maintaining logs, calibration records, and other required documentation in accordance with company standards.Equipment Handling and Maintenance:
Learn the proper setup, calibration, and basic maintenance of NDT equipment.Report any equipment malfunctions or inconsistencies to supervisors promptly.Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and comply with industry regulations (e.g., ASTM, ISO).Collaboration and Continuous Learning:
Work closely with team members in the Etch Department to ensure quality control and support ongoing projects.Must be able to participate in training sessions and certification courses to progressively develop technical expertise in NDT. Skills / Qualifications Must have a HD Diploma/GED Penetrant Level I per NAS 410 Certification preferred Must be able to obtain Level II certification at company's expense within 1 year of hire dateExperience with liquid penetrant processes is a plus but not required Must be able to read and write EnglishNOTE: This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), or U.S. Government export authorization is required.
