Mail Service Associate- Driver\/Floater

What's a Floater?\n

A floater is a person who fills a position without being assigned to a certain work location. Floaters will be allocated to work in a department or branch to cover gaps left by vacation, leaves of absence, or open positions that are being advertised or filled through recruitment. The ideal candidate for TMG would be someone who can multitask, is adaptive, and is trustworthy enough to make those adjustments.\n

Key Responsibilities:\n\nHandle all materials received in the Mail Center (receive, review, receipt, document, process, prepare, identify, separate, deliver, transport, etc.).\nPerform tasks for digital mail. (scan mail, save as pdf file, email the saved file to the recipient, follow up for instructions, and monitor retention of original documents.)\nDeliver, pickup, and transport materials within, between, to, and from various departments.\nDeliver office supplies and copy paper.\nInspect deliveries for suspicious or threatening items.\nOperate a company vehicle to transport items.\nAnswer calls and provide customer service.\nPick up outbound boxes and packages from internal customer locations.\nAbility to sort items into categories according to established methods.\nPrepare items for processing, shipment or transportation.\nEnter activity data in logs, maintain records.\nEnsure all safety procedures are followed at all times.\nPrepare and process outbound courier shipments using a computer or service provider's equipment (such as FedEx).\nAbility to cross train on other roles within the department; responsible for carrying out other duties as appropriate due to staff absences or at the discretion of management.\nReceive and complete the print request according to client expectations.\nOther duties are assigned by the manager.\n\n

Qualifications: \n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED).\nA minimum of 2-5 years of mail service-related experience is preferred, along with knowledge of commonly used office service procedures.\n1-3 years' experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.).\nExcellent customer service skills; must possess a \"can do\" attitude.\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written.\nAbility to effectively work individually or in a team environment.\nCompetency in performing multiple functional tasks.\nAttention to detail.\nAbility to handle mail or hand cart, as well as flatbed.\nMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds.\n\n
