This position ensures the accurate and timely processing and distribution of incoming and outgoing U.S. Mail, FEDEX, and all other couriers as applicable. Handle mail following the regulatory standards established by the United States Postal Service.
Job Duties
Responsible for sorting, distributing, and processing large quantities of mail and packages received from USPS, FEDEX and any other courier. Readdress undeliverable or damaged mail with incomplete or incorrect address.
Operate mailroom equipment, including but not limited to postage meters (Pitney Bowes), mail sorting machines, scanners, mail sealers, envelope openers, fold-and-insert machines, and labeling machines.
Distribute and collect mail throughout all departments in the Administrative Offices multiple times a day.
Assemble ACE membership kits. Pick and pack ACE maps and publications.
Stamps date and time of receipt on incoming mail and keeps records of registered mail. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
Qualifications
High School GED Required
less than 1 year Office clerical Preferred
Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office applications i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
Must be able to operate all office equipment, including but not limited to desk top computers, calculators, phones, etc.
Must be able to demonstrate effective organizational skills, multi-task and attention to detail is imperative.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated customer service skills possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills. Will be required to interact with a wide variety of people at different levels of the organization.
Must possess outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills.
The starting pay range for this position is:
$17.33 - $23.11Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
