Job Description Insight Globals financial services client is looking for a Mainframe Application Manager to join their organization. This person will report into the Application Development Managing Director, and for the next two years learn and shadow in order to take over the group when the MD retires. The Mainframe Application Manager will be responsbile for planning and allocating resources to meet productivity and quality goals while improving business processes for enhanced efficiency. They will represent the department in leadership meetings to gather requirements and conduct regular status updates on development efforts. This role involves empowering employees through delegation and accountability while fostering teamwork that values diverse perspectives and constructive conflict resolution. The manager will develop an employee-oriented culture focused on quality, continuous improvement, and high performance. They will also maintain employee work schedules including assignments, training, and absence coverage, while ensuring transparent communication through various channels. Additionally, they implement effective systems that fulfill the department's mission and goals.
