Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

Responsibilities:

Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirementsDesigns, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintainedMentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stackExecutes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecyclePerforms spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideasAutomates manual release activitiesDesigns, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)

Position Overview:

We are in search of a detail-oriented IT professional with senior-level Mainframe Development experience for ACH NACHA Payments.

This Mainframe Software Engineer will perform application code enhancements and break fixes, production research and analysis inclusive estimation of work efforts, perform code analysis, code testing/debugging of code and code deployment. The strongest candidates will have a love for problem solving, great partnership and communication skills, deep operational subject matter expertise, and the ability to envision, communicate and execute strategic planning and remediation of issues.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Support of complex and time critical suite of ACH mainframe applications and interfacing applications that interact with ACH Payments. Support the implementation and testing of QA/QC processes within Payments Platform. Ensure compliance with SLAs and standards for response and remediation. Escalate gaps and issues timely. Execute Payments specific processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide Standards. Foster the Identify, Escalate, Debate risk culture.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years in ACH PEP+ technology within past 5 years. Must have Payments technology delivery and operations knowledge of large and complex platforms / implementations.Expert knowledge of COBOL, OS-MVS, DB2, CICS, CA7, JCL. Knowledge of clearing house (NACHA, FED, and TCH) related to compliance and mandates & understanding of NACHA/PEP+ Payments.Banking domain knowledge, Payments (WIRE, FX, ACH, RTP) processing across channels. Full software development life-cycle experience.The strongest candidates will have a love for problem solving, great partnership and communication skills, deep operational subject matter expertise, and the ability to envision, communicate and execute strategic planning and remediation of issues.

Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge and direct usage of Endeavor, Sufi, File Manager.Knowledge and usage of Microsoft tools.Knowledge of working with midrange applications.Installation of vendor software a plus.
