Maintanence Planner

DS Smith is a leading provider of corrugated packaging and are present in 37 countries, employing around 27,000 people. We are seeking one Maintenance Planner. Successful incumbent will report to the Maintenance Manager in Cambridge, MD.

Plan routine maintenance jobs and schedule shutdowns.

Process all orders for maintenance work orders. Process orders for supplies needed for Production & Shipping as needed (this excludes raw materials such as wax, borax & starch.) Process all ELT service visits for PO. Process all repair orders for Motors & repairable electrical components. Arrange pick up or delivery of all items needing repairs/refurbished. Coordinate Roll pick up and track for ETA’s. (All rolls in converting & corrugated dept.) Manage Kit cage bins / Kit all incoming items if associated with Work order. Receive all items daily and hand in packing slips once confirmed. Request new IDs for Material needed in storeroom. Update supervisor group on Kitted projects. Enter all cycle counts for storeroom items. Order spare parts. Submit request for capital spares. Assist in pointing out transactions that need reclassified that shouldn’t be on maintenance spend and allocate it to the correct cost centers/GL accounts. Order all safety items for plant such as anything that the safety manager needs and keep stock orders for our staff vending machines. Enter all contactor service visits for PO’s. Schedule most contractor service visits and coordinate with management teams on dates available. Follow up on any payment discrepancies Vendors may have and get them resolved quickly. Update 5C tracker on parts ETAs for scheduling purposes. Reach out to Vendors for all quotes needed for plant. Submit requestion to the corporate purchasing group and fill in order entry on a live spread sheet plant uses for order tracking. Process all orders needed for wastewater (this includes materials needed, safety gear and services provided by CES & Kroff). Track all capital projects and expenses. Stage large projects. Check cycle counts as needed to ensure accuracy. Follow up on parts ETA’s when items do not arrive on time due to shipping issues. Follow up and confirm all service visits. Put away all parts coming in for storeroom stock daily. Submit monthly count documents. Must comply and support all applicable GMPs, Site Security, and Food Packaging Defense requirements that are referenced in the facilities GFSI food packaging safety program. Must be able to lift, sit, stand or walk for long period of times. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a sedentary or movement type work. Other duties as assigned or needed.
