Maintenace Coordinator

Job Overview:

 

The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for customer service by phone and walk in requests. Including creating and following up on work orders, dispatching staff and business partners and assisting the Maintenance Manager with various projects.

 

Compensation: $26-29/hr

 

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

 

Your Responsibilities:

Listen to customer concerns that pertain to maintenance items Create work orders for contractors and staff Close completed work orders Write letters/emails responding to members that wrote to the maintenance department Track front yard landscape modifications Assist Maintenance Manager with miscellaneous projects Assist Maintenance Manager to compile information on accidents, work with insurance companies and give information to accounting clerk Obtain insurance information in the event of an accident and work with staff and the insurance company until the claim is closed.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards. Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies. May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and provide recommendations on process changes to the General Manager.

Skills & Qualifications:

Strong ethical practices. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn and work in a proprietary software program called Connect. Strong internal/external customer relation skills required with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, members and other stakeholders. Excellent general math skills. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask, implement, and monitor progress for successful completion. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment meeting deadlines. Demonstrates attention to detail. Excellent attendance and punctuality. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; including MS Word, Excel, Outlook.

Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Talking and listening occur continuously in the process of communicating with clients, guests, supervisors, associates, and vendors. Must be able to communicate both on the phone and in person in order to resolve issues related to the business. Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard. Must be mobile enough to move around the office and during outside events; including walking on uneven surfaces and standing for long periods of time. Ability to work with inside and outside environmental elements (noise weather, etc.).
