Our Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician (MOET) Apprenticeship
Specializing in Power Generation.
You’ll work in our power generation team gaining exposure to:
Planning, installation, repair and maintenance of power generation equipment.
At Aggreko, safety is at the heart of everything we do. As an apprentice, you’ll follow our ‘Safety for Life’ principles, actively engage in safety practices, and contribute to maintaining a safe and supportive working environment for everyone.
Support our technicians in performing routine checks, diagnosing faults, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
Collaborating with teams across the business to enhance service delivery and contribute to larger, impactful projects.
Taking part in training opportunities to develop technical expertise and professional skills that will set you up for a successful career.
Working with power generation equipment.
Location: You’ll be based at our Washington depot (NE37 2SA) with day release to Newcastle College

What we’re looking for:
You’ll need to have (or be predicted to achieve) Five GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including English and Maths.
Curiosity and a desire to learn and develop technical and professional skills
A positive working attitude, including reliability, responsibility, and a professional approach to tasks
Good communication and teamwork skills
Problem-solving and analytical skills
We welcome applications from people of all ages, however due to the health and safety requirements of the role, to apply you need to be a minimum of 17yrs old by the start date of the Apprentice Programme (August 2025).
