Your goal is to strive for zero breakdowns and efficient maintenance costs. The asset reliability manager will be critical in this goal by coordinating planned corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities through the technical development of maintenance and operation teams. This role will have a strong focus on advancing the PM (Progressive Maintenance) Pillar, PM and CBM (condition-based monitoring) technologies, MRO (Maintenance, Repairs & operations/ spare parts) leadership, SAP PM module utilization, and skill development. To define success, we will use key metrics, including injury rate, GE (equipment reliability), MTBF (mean time between failures), %PM/CBM completion, PM Pillar progress, inventory value and accuracy, fixed cost management (spare parts, contract services, emergency purchases, labor).
How you will contribute
You will:
Improve maintenance skills for good maintenance process performance and the continuous improvement and autonomous maintenance tools needed for maintenance and improvements in the production process.
Provide leadership and coaching to the maintenance team towards implementation of IL6S-Integrated Lean 6 Sigma ways of working: delivering zero breakdowns via preventive/predictive maintenance strategies and technical mastery of maintenance and operation teams; PM (Progressive Maintenance) Pillar, and CBM (condition-based monitoring), Visual controls & tools Mgmt., Lubrication mgmt. & Calibration of equipment(s) etc.
Role model Values and principles through effective coaching and mentoring and building skills capability across the Plant technical/engineering team to engage with the latest modern practices. Have a clear people succession and resource plan for the asset & technology population, identifying and implementing critical levers to attract, retain, and develop essential talent.
Participation in the Progressive Maintenance pillar responsible for the methodology breakdown in all site areas; support, coaching, and auditing of PM teams; discipline and compliance with defined standards.
Strengthen and ensure compliance with company standards, rules, and policies and the production process's safety, quality, and maintenance standards.
Manage predictive, preventive, scheduled corrective, and refurbishment of machinery and equipment to maintain operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
Manage predictive, preventive, and scheduled corrective maintenance plans for machines and equipment through history and trends.
Ensure teams generate corrective work orders from critical preventive maintenance and CBM reviews.
Manage the schedule for the reform of machinery and equipment through reports and information from PCP (Production Planning and Control).
Maintain the operational efficiency of machinery and equipment through compliance with preventive maintenance programs and renovations.
Support management of suppliers for contracted maintenance.
Manage documented information for predictive and preventive maintenance, primary equipment operating conditions, and improvements implemented in the production and related areas.
Coordinate training for maintenance and operations on operating conditions and improvements implemented in the production area and related equipment.
Optimize the maintenance management tool (SAP PM) to control and plan hours worked, work orders, spare parts requisition, and auxiliary materials to execute services.
Manage spare parts of equipment, supporting improvements in cycle count accuracy, inventory levels, and turn-aways.
Manage the creation of documented information on primary equipment operating conditions and improvements implemented in the production and related areas.
Support the application of the Early Management Pillar Methodology to new projects.
Lead projects and investments per Matrix RACI Engineering and Maintenance responsibilities.
Support and participate in systemic and improvement groups as per the Master Plan of the Progressive Maintenance pillar or other pillars of the Integrated Systems methodology.
Manage maintenance costs.
Promptly serve internal and external customers whenever requested by GDD (Day to Day Management).
Take care of the order, storage, and conservation of materials and equipment.

Strong operational & manufacturing leadership experience in the CPG industry with expertise in TPM-Total productive maintenance, 5s, LEAN, Six Sigma tools and concepts, Safety & GMP standards
An Engineer with strong financial and business acumen, project management skills, industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment knowledge, PM (Progressive Maintenance) expertise, Spare parts management, SAP PM module end-user knowledge, and Technology and engineering automation basics.
Excellent communication (verbal & written), coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment. Demonstrated abilities in Analytics, problem-solving, and team building. The Maintenance Manager is directly responsible for improving the total uptime performance of the site’s Production and Utility assets by leading the teams with a sense of urgency, focusing on the execution of the preventative/predictive maintenance programs, and setting the standard for the “quality execution” of these plans by both in-house and third-party resources. This person will implement the overall Progressive Maintenance Strategy at the site, including optimizing cost-effective maintenance and reliability strategies supporting IL6S and the plant business deliverables. He or she will also coordinate technical training opportunities for all associates to increase their skills and knowledge. The PM Leads, Asset Reliability Manager and Facilities and Utility Manager will report to this position.
Responsibilities
Implements & maintains the plant's Progressive Maintenance Improvement Plan and Roadmap aligned with plant / BU priorities.
Proactively evaluates & leads refinement of overall equipment reliability plans, strategies, equipment performance & RCA effectiveness.
Manages production and facility/utility asset maintenance and infrastructure to ensure the most effective use of resources and funding balanced for short—and long-range plans and plant production assets.
Champions a proactive Preventative/proactive driven culture that optimizes cost-effective maintenance & reliability for the line/plant. Ensures necessary skill sets are developed, refined & maintained.
Supports the plant teams in reviewing/developing operating standards, line speeds, Global Efficiency (GE), etc., to identify and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
Coaches, mentors & develops Maintenance leadership staff.
Coordinate production equipment and facility maintenance activities at the plant, including capital projects with the support of corporate engineering to maximize equipment reliability, efficiency, and cost.
Ensure that all maintenance activities pertaining to the adherence to/implementation of people safety and risk management regulations and procedures, according to the company policies and FM Global recommendations, are executed.
Champion GE improvement initiatives and select, implement, and monitor equipment reliability improvement plans.
Responsible for all the Maintenance Goals towards Zero Breakdowns.
Maintenance Performance Measurements (KAIs and KPIs).
Responsible for ensuring products are produced in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Is responsible for ensuring that all applicable safety and GMP procedures are understood and adhered to.
Understand and follow Manufacturing food safety systems and procedures.
Is responsible for ensuring that all food safety and quality issues are brought to the immediate attention of the Quality Manager.

Job specific requirements:
Bachelors degree in engineering
Five years' experience in a similar Maintenance Leadership role
Previous experience with proactive maintenance and other TPM or related integrated Lean Six Sigma reliability programs is a plus.
Physical effort: Work typically requires low physical effort in bending, lifting, and manual dexterity. Computer/telephone use is moderate. There is some occasional travel to attend meetings/audits locally if needed. The ability to stand for long periods is essential. Frequent walking. Work requires moderate mental effort in reading, creating written documentation, meeting deadlines, problem-solving, handling multiple demands, and repetitive tasks amid constant interruptions and distractions.
Experience in a union environment.
Experience in the food industry preferred.
SAP PM Module experience preferred.
Must understand and prioritize Good Manufacturing Practices, People, and Food Safety considerations in daily decision-making and prioritization efforts.
