Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for assisting with various maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation, upkeep and cleanliness of our facilities.

The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, good time management skills, a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and/or in a team environment setting.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

Assist with general maintenance duties such as repairing equipment, performing routine inspections, and troubleshooting issues.Conduct regular cleaning and sanitization of work areas and equipment.Collaborate with other team members to complete maintenance tasks and projects on time.Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and machinery on a regular basis.Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubricating machinery, replacing filters, and checking fluid levels.Conduct inspections of facilities to identify any maintenance or repairs needed.Assist with painting floors, walls, ceilings and other surfaces as required.Repair or replace damaged equipment, fixtures, or furniture.Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the Maintenance Manager.Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.Assists with EHS initiatives as directed.Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.Prior experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred.Knowledge of basic maintenance techniques and tools.Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, bending, and standing for extended periods.Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.Ability to read, write, and understand written specifications, procedures, drawings and prints.Ability to design and execute from verbal instructions.Forklift and scissor lift trained, a plus.Safety and quality conscious.

Education:

This position requires a minimum of high school diploma or general education degree.  Minimum of 1-year industrial experience in a manufacturing setting.
