What You Will Do
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a large role in our facility, by ensuring the building and its various needs are maintained and repaired. In addition, you will be responsible for transporting residents to outings or to appointments on time. In this role, you are an extension of the outstanding customer service, we are known for, by representing Cadia on the road. • Assist the Maintenance Director with safety inspections, drills and other jobs as needed
• Provide on going preventative maintenance for the building, the buildings systems, and fire/safety equipment
• Perform routine inspections of building and grounds to ensure the building is in compliance
• Complete and maintain the buildings maintenance records
• Assist and complete general preventive maintenance and repairs as needed
• Responsible for inspecting and preparing residents rooms for new occupants
• Responsible for driving and operating an 8 passenger bus safely
Requirements:
• Must possess at least one year of experience in a maintenance role and basic carpentry.
• Safe usage of power tools and small hand tools, is a must
• Must be able to operate a 8-passenger bus
• Must possess a clean driving record, free of major violations.
• Previous driving experience in this setting, is preferred
• Previous long-term/skilled or senior living experience preferred
• Must be able to assist residents in and out of the van
• Ability to operate the wheelchair lift preferred, but training provided
