Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure our site’s building and production equipment are properly maintained, safe, and operating efficiently. This role includes identifying, justifying, and executing capital projects, overseeing preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory bodies. The coordinator will work closely with plant leadership to improve safety, reduce costs, and enhance production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: Lead engineering and maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance, equipment utilization, and inventory control. Troubleshoot and optimize production processes, machines, and facility maintenance. Manage vendor relationships for maintenance-related matters. Oversee project activity, including equipment design and introduction. Support environmental compliance efforts, such as waste management and pollution control. Maintain records and compliance activities related to loss protection of facility and equipment. Required Skills & Knowledge: Lean manufacturing principles and their practical application. Experience with metal fabrication equipment (Bend/Break, Slit, Shear, Roll Forming machines). Strong understanding of maintenance justification and financial impacts. Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and regulatory compliance. Ability to manage vendor contracts and negotiate agreements. Excellent time management, communication, and budgeting skills. Equipment Used: Company-provided technology: Computer, calculator, phone. Measurement tools: Rulers, tape measures, calipers. Hand tools and plant machinery for troubleshooting and maintenance. Working Conditions: 35% office-based, 65% production floor. Exposure to temperature variations, dust, and industrial environments. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM (with flexibility for project needs). On-call availability may be required for shift operations and urgent maintenance issues. Travel Requirements: No travel required.
