PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Primarily responsible for the cultivation and care of grounds/yard surrounding facility.  Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

                                    

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:                              

Under minimal supervision, ensure grounds/yard surrounding facility are well maintained Perform landscaping duties such as mowing, planting, weeding, fertilizing, pruning etc to ensure plants, shrubs and trees remain healthyPerform minor facility exterior maintenance such as sweeping/clearing sidewalks, painting, lightbulb replacement and/ or other minor structural repairs etc.Assist others when requested in the repair and maintenance of grounds and facilityWork in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulationsOther duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Previous experience in landscaping a plusAbility to work unsupervised and self-motivateAbility to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hoursSound work ethic, honesty and moral character

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

Follow departmental and company safety policies and programsMust wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work in hot, wet and/or cold environmentAbility to stand up to 8 hoursAbility to lift up to 60 lbs.
